Por recomendacion de Lifetime Experience contratamos el programa de habituacion por un dia, es algo mas costoso pero bien vale la pena pasarse todo el dia tras los chimpances! Hay que estar dispuesto a caminar durante 7-8 horas, aunque la dificultad del terreno no es mucha puede resultar cansador a quien no esta acostumbrado. Los guias son muy profesionales. El encuentro con los chimpancés es increible, claro que hay que estar preparado para su mal humor tambien, ya que suelen cargar haciendo fuerte ruido y golpeando los arboles para asustar. Didn't know what to expect but we were certainly not disappointed. We were able to see the chimps playing in the trees, running through the woods, eating lots of fruits - all at close quarters. Much much better than we expected
We thoroughly enjoyed chimpanzee tracking, two days, even though one day was in the rain! The guides were excellent and the chimpanzees were so much more interesting than we expected. When they run through the jungle, beating on the trees, it's an awesome experience.

Super Erlebnis, aber nicht optimal durchgeführt
Wir haben dreimal Schimpansen sehen dürfen - unser Guide hat es ermöglicht. Aber leider ist er losgerannt ohne auf uns zu warten. Nieselregen, viel zu warme Kleidung (wurde uns empfohlen) waren sehr hinderlich. Nach Ausziehen von Regenjacke und Langarm-Shirt ging es besser. Incredible experience tracking chimpanzees
We went to the centre in order to go for the chimpanzees tracking experience. Quite a busy morning with lots of interested tourists but the experience is still worth the try for those who love nature. Very helpful guides and good introductry lecture and tracking rules about chimpanzees and other wildlife in Kibale forest. Das Trecking war zunächst richtig spannend da jede Gruppe die Schimpansen alleine suchen muss - also ein richtiges Trecking Erlebnis. Als wir die Schimpansen gefunden hatten wurde es leider hektisch da nicht nur andere Gruppen sofort auftauchten sondern wir dann diese Gruppe verlassen mussten um eine andere in Nähe zu besuchen wo es besser sein sollte. Leider war es dann in etwa ählich nur mehr Schimpansen. Schade es war gut gemeint hatte aber nicht den erhofften Erfolg. Up Close And Personal With Chimpanzees
Being prepared for the tracking of chimpanzees is highly recommended. Wear boots, long trousers, long-sleeved shirt, light rain jacket. First off you sign it at the reception desk. This is followed by a talk given by one of the guides who explains how to conduct yourself in the forest and what we will see. Since no tracking devices are attached to the chimpanzees, the guides communicate with each other via walkie talkies when a family of chimpanzees are located. The groups of humans are fairly small in size. Once a group of chimpanzees has been located, they may be up in the forest canopy eating. We waited patiently until some came down to ground level. There were plenty of photo opportunities. The chimpanzees we see are habituated and accustomed to humans coming into their habitat. The total time taken for the chimpanzee tracking is about 2 1/2 -3 hours and it passes quickly.

The Chimps are Fantastic
It is a crazy scene with the chimps screaming, hooting, running past you and jumping through the trees. Some are also calm and provide fantastic photo ops.
